Fishery management

Our camp has a management agreement with the Provincial Ministry of Natural Resources. The objective of this agreement is to monitor and maintain the high quality of fishery on Holinshead Lake on a sustained basis.

Our "catch-and-consume" policy allows you to eat your daily limit of 2 fresh walleye under 18"--the smaller, best-tasting fish--and release those 18" and larger.  For pike, the daily limit is 2 under 27.5".  For your trophy catches, take pictures and measure the fish to get a replica graphite mount.

This program assures fishing at Holinshead Lake will be as good or better fifty years from now as it is today.
